The 13.3" Archos FamilyPad 2 is supposed to be released soon for between $299 - $399. I had decided to wait until the tablets got bigger screens for a reasonable price and it looks like it's beginning to emerge finally.

Looks interesting and certainly priced right. However all the Keyboard manufacturers are moving to IPAD for related APPs and Editors. So for PDF Sheet Music the new Tablet is very good but for just about everything else it's the IPAD.

And next to no reliable PDF chart readers on Android either as well as quite poor music apps in general.

Android promises much, but delivers little when it comes to a gigging muso

When I asked a friend – Tablet or IPad, his answer was Ipad it has all. (It offers more)

I can’t say that I am totally happy with my Ipad, although it’s a little more than a great toy, that is for me – My laptop is larger but it does the same work and much more. (opinion)

If you use it for nothing more than an affordable depository and display case for your PDF music sheets, it's certainly worth the money!

Thanks for posting this.

Why not just purchase a Netbood PC - about the same size, weighs about the same, does a lot more, and costs less.

So I can read a piece of sheet music vertically rather than horizontally (unless I balance the Netbook on it's side!).

Not the same thing at all really -

Remember your own paraphrased advice - concentrate on what you want to DO with it wink

Mark, the last time I looked there was a program that allowed you to utilize a foot switch to scroll the sheet music. If I recall, Scott Langholff was doing this about 10 years ago. The same system can also be used for scrolling lyrics as well, Dennis.
